There are three options for travel to the Denali National Park area. Drive a private vehicle (car or RV), relax on the train or book a motor-coach.
If you have purchased a tour package your transportation to the area is likely included. This page is geared to those
traveling independently.
Rental cars and RV are available in our largest cities: Anchorage and Fairbanks. Many people prefer to rent a car, due to the long distances between communities in Alaska. Local car rentals are also available if you’d like to travel to the area via a different method, and have a car when you get here.
There are several options for train travel from both Fairbanks and Anchorage. These options can be found on our TRAVEL page. Train travel appeals to many for the opportunity to see scenery and wildlife, in comfort and relaxation.
Motor-coach service is also available from Anchorage to Denali. See Park Connection for the details.
